Perfect for an introduction to whitewater rafting, or for families and friends who can only spare a morning or afternoon. This 3-mile Oregon trip has it all. The forested beauty of the Upper Deschutes provides a natural Paradise for rafting, hiking and observing wildlife. We are floating through the beautiful Deschutes National Forest, where the flows of lava from Newberry National Volcanic Monument shaped the Deschutes River over 7,000 years ago. Towering ponderosa pins and quaking gaspends cover the landscape as river otters playfully swim through this river wonderland.

Departures: The 1:30 Sunriver/ 2:00 Bend Big Eddy Thriller goes out Wednesdays and Fridays in July and August.

Itinerary

For all pick up locations please show up 30 minutes early to allow for check in, trips will leave promptly at the designated trip time.

For guests departing from our Sunriver office the Big Eddy Thriller is a three hour total trip time of which approximately 1 hour and 15 minutes is on the water.  Guests departing from Bend will have a total trip time of approximately 2 hours with the same on river time.  Sunriver departures may stop at our Bend office to pickup additional guests.  The same bus takes you too and from the river.  Items may be left on the bus however we discourage leaving valuables as the bus is unattended during a period of time.

Bring: 

Visa/Matercard, Cash or Check to pay for your trip at check-in.  And a little incidental money for souvenir photos and accessories. 

Wear:  Clothes and shoes that you can get wet.

In Warm Weather, Shorts, T-shirts, Shoes that stay on your feet like sandals with ankle straps, tennies or water socks.

In Cooler Weather, Nylon or Polyester clothes--Walking or Exercise Clothes--are great.
